Zambezi River

There are different ways to enjoy the Zambezi River, ranging from the lazy sunset cruise to the active rafting trips. Please note that on neither of these river trips you will be able to see the Falls. It´s just too dangerous to get to close to the Falls!

• Sunset Cruises
  The most relax way to enjoy the Zambezi River is going on a sunset cruise. From the boat you might see some wildlife and of course Africa´s magical sunsets. Drinks and snacks are included.
• River Safari
  The River Safari takes place on smaller boats and are definitely more suitable for those who are interested to see the Zambezi River wildlife. Sunset you will enjoy on one of the islands with a view of the spray of the Falls. Drinks and snacks included.
• Canoe trips
  A more adventurous way to experience the Zambezi River is going on a canoe trip. Meet hippos and crocodiles while peddling downstream.
• Rafting
  The most daring way to go on the river is on a raft. Downstream the Falls, the Zambezi River turns into a hellish waterride with 25 rapids. A lot of these rapids are grade 5, the most difficult grade to raft! Among rafters the Zambezi River is considered one of the most challenging, and if you want the roughest time please try at the end of October or the beginning of November when the water levels are low and the water is squeezed through the gorge. You will definitely flip!
